Shortwave Radio Broadcasters/International Broadcasters
A note to begin with: Save for shortwave stations directly owned and operated by the United States government, practically all shortwave broadcasters in the US or operated by US nationals carry at least some dominionist broadcasting and most are frank religiocasters. The solitary exception is Radio for Peace International which is based in Costa Rica.
This is in part due to federal regulations which require shortwave stations to be operated as nonprofit stations (in other words, it's a very similar exemption to the "Educational station" exemption for public and religious FM and TV stations). Much like the "educational station" exemption has been abused by dominionists, the "international broadcast" nonprofit exemptions have been primarily used by religious broadcasters--and primarily by dominionist broadcasters, at that. If anything, the opening of the shortwave bands in the US to non-government groups was a dry run for the later "Great Translator Invasion" of large religio-casting FM networks made up almost entirely of translator stations and a handful of primary broadcast stations being relayed.
Of note, the major non-governmental body of shortwave broadcasters in the US--the National Association of Shortwave Broadcasters--is almost entirely made up of dominionist religiocasters (per the official membership listing). Radio World Online has specifically written regarding the fact that dominionists have almost entirely taken over non-governmental shortwave radio broadcasting in the US.
Of note, dominionist stations in the US very frequently violate FCC rules in deliberately targeting US audiences (by FCC regulations, shortwave broadcasters are not supposed to target North America). The NASB has actually refused to petition for changes in shortwave allocations or push for changes in FCC policies in part because of legitimate fear the FCC may start enforcing broadcast regulations already in place (as it is, the FCC does little practical enforcement on the shortwave bands other than in regards to unlicensed broadcasters); as is, dominionist broadcasters will often claim that Mexico or Canada is the intended audience even though US-only 1-800 numbers are broadcast for "donations".
That noted, here is the list:
- High Adventure Ministries/WORD Broadcasting (licensees of multiple shortwave stations as well as TV, FM and AM stations; primary station WJIE, also owns KVOH and other stations worldwide including Voice of Hope Jerusalem (carried via radio feed on Sky Angel); attempting to set up large dominionist religiocasting network worldwide; rents radio time to dominionists)
