(Harold Caballeros, head of neopente church El Shaddai (which is connected with Jorge Serrano Elías), has been speculated as a probable candidate for the office of Guatemala's presidency in the September 2007 elections and has considerable support from dominionist groups in the US)
Special note re Guatemalan politics: Guatemala is possibly unique in having had not one but two separate coups de etat by dominionist groups and (much like the US) multiple dominionist political parties. Practically all non-Catholic Christian churches in Guatemala are neopentecostal dominionist congregations (per Pew Forum report) and even upwards of sixty percent of the Catholic churches in the country have active "steeplejacking" going on by "Catholic Charismatic" congregations planted by the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International. FGBMFI has historically targeted Guatemalan politics in particular since the early 1950s (documentary link) and has been heavily involved in Latin American politics in general (documentary link 2).
