Mostly here as a contributor regarding dominionism in historical contexts, dominionism in relation to coercive religious groups, and particularly dominionism in the pentecostal and "charismatic" neopentecostal movements.
I am a survivor of an abusive dominionist church associated with the Assemblies of God and unfortunately have seen all too much of dominionism face to face. Much of my writing and experience is based on this.
If you are in, or were formerly a member of, a spiritually abusive group associated with the dominionist movement--remember first that you aren't alone, and don't be afraid to tell your story. People won't know about what goes on Inside otherwise. Dark Christianity itself is a good place to detail incidents of abuse, and for support the communities Wounded Warriors on Livejournal and Ex-Pentecostals are excellent resources.
One of my particular interests is, as I have noted, documenting the history of dominionism (which, contrary to popular belief, isn't just something that came about in the last ten or twenty years--it's just been in ""mainstream"" churches that long).
Another particular interest of mine is documenting experiences of children raised in dominionist groups and specifically incidents of child abuse, coercion of children, etc. in these groups. (As I myself am a survivor of religiously motivated child abuse, and there is very little info even in the research community on experiences of walkaways who were born into abusive groups, this could even be useful to researchers.)
Due to a documented history of harassment of persons leaving the group or being critical of the group I am remaining pseudonymous and am not providing contact info. I do hope people understand--I'm largely looking out for my family's safety here.
