I have been fascinated by the dominionist phenomenon ever since my brief exposure to the dominionist culture in high school. I am a walkaway from Maranatha after a brief time in that group which seemed like years but was only a few months, and only escaped it with the help of a few concerned friends who saw how it was changing me in ways I didn't notice. I had previously considered myself a Christian thanks to my upbringing in a UPCUSA Presbyterian church, but my brief tour through the dominionist parallel-reality culture turned me completely off of Christianity in general. I found a much truer and more honest acceptance in the pagan community, which is perfectly happy to embrace me as the eclectic solitary I've always been, and have never regretted making that transition.
I have dedicated my life to an objective understanding of dominion theology, dominionist culture, and dominionist politics. From what I already know about this movement, I know it is the most serious threat to our civil liberties we have ever faced, and has been working tirelessly to gain total control of our society for at least 100 years. Many of the worst chapters in this country's history during the last century are either directly or indirectly related to dominionist political power plays, including Prohibition and its disastrous aftereffects and consequences, and from its early roots it has grown into a sophisticated and agile underground movement. I believe this country became truly free only as late as the late 1960's, when the anti-Vietnam War protests created a new and truly free thinking culture, and I believe the dominionists have been struggling to regain the power they lost ever since and will not stop until they either win or are completely rooted out and disbanded.
My role as I see it is to keep an eye on the big picture and maintain a critical analytical perspective on this movement and its effects on society. I know this enemy well, and have developed a keen sense of how to anticipate its movements, and hope to see the day when it is finally exposed to everyone for what it truly is, a power-hungry beast that wears the trappings of Christianity solely for convenience and camouflage ..
